Job searching is obviously not an easy job, especially I tried to avoid lab-related jobs. I have been spamming alot of my resumes to companies. It is quite sad that there are very little nutritionist jobs in SG. Well, there is, but mostly are offered by slimming company and I am still on way to a healthier weight.
Jia you, Mingjuk, jia you!
On the other note, my stay at Batam has been quite happy (although other times are pretty boring because now I have the luxury of too many free times).
1. Gathering back with my families, especially with the Ping cece and the trios!
It may sound rather suaku and arrogant to keep boasting that my cousin is married to an Italian. But her children are really good-looking. The appearances may be dominated with Chinese look, but if you see them in personal; there is still the "blasteran" feel in them.
The thing is, my lovely nieces (which are twins!) always look shy when we meet them. It is the habitual pretentious appearance, because after we play with them for sometimes; their bubbliness begin to set in. But my bf and I have to be quite patient; since they always pretend to be shy the next time we play with them again (and the cycle goes on and on...)
Then my cousin and I came to realise that there is nothing much at Batam, except eat and eat! Haha... My nephew normally plays some sport, like tennis at Italy; but here most of their times are eating hahahaha... Marina and Melissa have gained weight. The latter is more prominent since she rarely rejects food offers.
Here are some of their photos.

2. Spamming movies!
One of the best features in Batam is the movie ticket is cheap (and probably free considering my bf paying for me :p). This time has compensated the amount of movies that I did not watch in SG.
3. Gathering with friends
4. Foodhunting
Does it need to be explained? :D
#1-Dumpling
Finally I did not miss out dumpling day this year. Although it is not handmade by my mom, it always feels better to eat it at our home; isn't it?
#2-Bella Italia
No wonder Angel keeps mentioning about Bella. The restaurant is Italian restaurant (as the name suggests), with nice and seems-to-be authentic Italian dishes with lots of list of herbs in the menu. The price at first looks quite expensive, but I think it is reasonable with its large portion size.
I can't remember the dishes name, but basically that's the garlic bread topped with cheese; tuna pizza and crayfish pasta. I would really recommend all the dishes!
- The crayfish pasta sauce is juicy and absolutely drooling; with generous offer of crayfish; or "he po" in Teochew.
- And so does the pizza! Again, it's quite large portion. The crust is crunchy enough with nice tuna topping
#3-Black Canyon Coffee
I can't remember the name of this dish, but basically this is what Chinese calls tang hoon; plus salmon. Not as good as it looks, since the salmon loses its tenderness and the taste.
But the prawn tomyum soup, another dish that I ordered, is awesome! The prawn is quite fresh; and the key point is of course the tomyum soup itself. I think the flavour is just nice, with adequate balance of sour and spicy. Well, actually I think it is not as spicy as expected, but since I can't stand too spicy foods; perhaps it's better in this way.
Of course, there are not always happy moments. There is something that I have to pray, for things to get better.
